It hasn't been mentioned for a while, but I'm tired of the association with bronies. So, now it's just Rainbow, at least until I think of something better to add on to it.

I did until around season 3. They knew their were 'bronies' watching, and it sort of lost it's magic and playfulness, at least to me. The good/bad news is, my 1yr old daughter enjoys it. So I'm playing catch-up I guess?

Lol, I'm a former brony. Rainbow Dash was called Rainbow Crash because she couldn't fly or something (I forget).

I changed my avatar because of you, good sir. Were you aware of that? My avatar for the longest time was... Rainbow Dash.

My own experience with pony fandom matches yours. It was cool at the beginning, but it's out of control now, and there are some real issues with rampant misogyny in the brony culture. And, yeah, I know #notallbronies.

And yeah, there definitely is. Not to mention how so many people love to claim that Rainbow Dash is gay - oh, no, not because of the rainbows (sure) but because she's too athletic to be a 'normal' straight girl. Of course, in both cases, I like to think that the stupid ones are the minority and just happen to be the loudest.

I highly recommend Gravity Falls, on Disney. It's just soooo good. It's exactly what a animated show should be. Plus, Mabel rocks.

They called her rainbow crash after walking through the purple flower things in the forest that had a pain with a sense of humor. There was also flutterguy. And maybe more. And no, I'm not a brony, I have a 4 year old daughter. But I do kind of like it anyways, it's at the very least more tolerable than a lot of other kids shows.

1st two seasons were excellent, just like any other kids show out there. It's better that something like Johnny Test or majority of the braindead shows on Disney/Nick. those shows have no 'soul' to them.

It captured a female audience because of the ponies, and a older audience because of the quality of the show plus the humor. Not too many shows so that.

Yeah. I agree. Don't believe I've seen any newer stuff though, but after all this talk I kind of want to so I can know what you're talking about. I love me some quality cartoons. Phineas and Ferb. Avatar: the last Airbender. Rugrats.

If you want an AMAZING show, watch Gravity Falls . Its worth it. You can find all the episodes online. The second season premier is this Friday, I eagerly awaiting to see it, :).
